Description and usage notes:
Woody-amber, fruity-pineapple, peach and mango scented but with a very distinct cocoa / chocolate aspect as well. Much more tenacious than the fruity esters, yet not as long-lasting as some of the fruity lactones and so useful for the heart note of the fragrance.
Made by IFF who describe it like this: “Odor: Fruity, pineapple, peach, mango top note with amber and chocolate nuances. Less anise/basil-like than Cyclacet or Cyclaprop”
Contains the same chemical as is sold by Givaudan under the name Gardocylene (CAS number 67634-20-2), which they describe like this “Odor: Fruity, Green, Floral. Use: Gardocyclene is a fruity floral and slightly green material, less anise-like than the other cyclenes.”
This material is a colourless, clear liquid with a flashpoint of 94 Centigrade and specific gravity of about 1.03. It lasts for two or more days on a smelling strip and is effective in both burning and liquid applications, as well as fine fragrance.
