Description and usage notes:
Unusual earthy, damp-soil note that is highly diffusive, also used to enhance patchouli top-notes. Very powerful. Often offered at 50% in arbanol (aka cedranol, cedanol) under the trade name Terrasol, what we are offereing here however is the undiluted material.
Arcadi Boix Camps, writing in 1999 suggest that while humid in odour it is “more rooty, earthy and mossy.”
It can be effectively used alongside the even more powerful Geosmin but only with great care in the dosage.
Not to be confused with the Symrise product, Terranol.

Did you ever have a den in the woods, back in the days when kids got to play outside all day? Here it is! Mud & leaf-mould, bruised knees & dirty jeans. Would you want to smell that way? I guess not. It has to be subtle. I can see this, suitably tamed, in a blend reflecting bluebell woods in spring. But I don’t think I know enough to pull that off (yet).
