Description and usage notes:
As with all pyrazines this is used in traces – Cocoa Pyrazine at 0.1% in Ethanol has a distinctively chocolate and cocoa powder odour with elements of roasted nuts.
Occurs in various nuts, asparagus, tea and tobacco as well as chocolate. Even at 0.1% this is a very powerful material that can easily dominate your blend, so use with caution.
This particular pyrazine is one of those essential for creating an authentic chocolate accord – see the notes under Cocoa Hexenal for more ideas of materials for such accords. For another pyrazine suitable for chocolate accords, see Potato Pyrazine.
As this particular pyrazine has proved a popular item we are now also offering it at 1% in ethanol.
Please note that although pyrazines are commonly used in flavouring this product is not suitable for human or animal consumption.

Smells great in my blends, a rich, thick coco
the bonus being that it’s clear, and it doesn’t muddy up the blend like Cocoa Absolute does. So great for me
