This excellent rose recreation by Firmenich is very similar to their Dorinia SA but has been re-formulated to remove the polycyclic musks, making it ideal for those who wish to avoid using those, but also improving the performance in fine fragrance where the macrocyclic musk affinity with skin is particularly appreciated.
Note that the product contains similar levels of IFRA restricted components to those listed for Dorinia SA, which mean that in a typical alcoholic fine fragrance no more than 0.78% of this material should be included in the finished product.
If you need a rose recreation that can be used at higher levels we suggest you consider the Rose Blend by Pell Wall or Rose Givco 217 by Givaudan.

This is a powerful, sugery rose base. I find the description drewy and geranium rather fitting, too. On itself it is beautiful, modern, it reminds me strongly the top note of FM’s Une Rose (before it turns bitter, that is). The floral musk drydown makes it binds well with skin, which is also great.
The sweetness is not easy to handle – or it could be me being thick skulled. I made a stinker with Dorinia SA E and geranium on a woody amber base: It is so sweet that it gives you diabetes LOL. However, in another aromatic Chypre it adds a sweet brightness to the aroma, which is pleasing.
