Description and usage notes:
Found in the odours of a wide variety of fresh fruits. Used to enhance the juiciness of other fruit scents and offers a brighter, fresher top-note than the similar isopropyl methyl 2 butyrate and is a more apple, berry type compared to the more pineapple note of ethyl butyrate.
It is extremely diffusive adding freshness to floral fragrances and giving an unusual alternative to citrus. Try adding a small amount of this material to a fragrance containing Nectarate, Nectaryl, Fructalate or one of the fruity lactones. The result will be much juicier and more enticing. Used in combination with isopropyl methyl 2 butyrate gives a more lasting effect.
