Description and usage notes:
Developed by Firmenich to capture the scent of dried fruit, this long-lasting base has the characteristic rich sweetness of raisins, sultanas, apricots and prunes.
At lower levels, it reveals itself to be extremely versatile; it gives especially good effects with Cassis Base 345B in a tropical fruit context, and can impart body and elegance to any fruity floral accord.
At Pell Wall, we find this base cleverly combines the astringency of fruit skin, the butyric acidity of wine lees, the rich body of damascones, a touch of the powdery desiccation of ionones, and the creamy base-notes of stone-fruit lactones.
It is sweet, without being sugary, and carefully blended with no jagged edges for maximum ease of use. It gives unctuousness and complexity to a rose note, adds a blush of colour to a woody accord, and deepens a fruity note without adding juiciness. Typical usage around 1%.
The manufacturer advises that the blend should be shaken prior to use to ensure an even consistency.
