Description and usage notes:
Very useful as an alternative to Heliotropine, which although widely used in perfumery is difficult for the amateur and small-scale perfumer to buy, being nearly unobtain-able …
The odour is more floral and less powdery than Heliotropine with less of the cherry-note so it should be used in combination with other substitutes such as Acetanisole.
The product offered here is manufactured by Synarome who describe the odour as “Ambery-Balsamic, Anis, floral”
Not quite as powerful, so more will be needed to adequately substitute for Heliotropine in a formula, but also not to be underestimated as a beautiful floral material in its own right.
Comes as a mobile liquid.
