Description and usage notes:
An unusual ingredient encompassing many olfactive facets. Herboxane is sweet and round, but fresh and green, gently spicy but simultaneously cooling. Described by Givaudan as “Spicy whilst distinctively herbal, particularly basil. Reminiscent of sweet red pepper”. At Pell Wall we even find a slight berry facet, which in combination with its green, cooling aspect means it goes excellently with Blackcurrant bud absolute and Cassis base.
It acts as a marvellous background to those assertive herbal oils like Thyme, Lavender, Rosemary and Basil, calming and rounding off their spikier qualities. In combination with citrus oils it adds a green crisp naturalness and is particularly excellent for adding body and interest to a green accord. Herboxane is reminiscent of Mintonat, but more herbal, less minty, and gives more body.
