Description and usage notes:
Released at the 2018 World Perfumery Congress, this is one of a series of products by Firmenich containing their unique natural oud. As this is an expensive product, we also offer it at 10% dilution.
The documents section below includes a link to a demonstration formula provided by Firmenich – notice the very low application rate – just one part in 1000 of this material is enough to give a distinctive note.
The pure, natural product is called Oud Assafi
From Firmenich: “Originating in Assam, birthplace of oud, Firmenich’s Oud Assafi is the finest quality extract of Aquilaria malaccensis, a variety first registered by Firmenich for use in perfumery. Oud Maleki, Oud Samrat, Oud Anokha – three captivating specialties designed with Oud Assafi. Oud Assafi was launched at WPC in June”
Oud Maleki has the characteristic oud quality with woody and animalic facets to the fore. Also from Firmenich: “Very strong and long lasting, especially regarding the typical woody animalic facet of Oud”
