Description and usage notes:
Very diffusive, spicy-peppery, woody-herbal material of great versatility. Excellent to give support to pepper notes or as a replacer / enhancer for pink pepper and black pepper, it also has uses in woody and woody-amber complexes, with labdanum in Incense fragrances, with Fougere or Chypre to add sparkle and spice, and can lend depth to leather and oud accords.
Note that despite the shared CAS number and many suppliers listing it as equivalent Mahagonate is most certainly not the same product: we have both here and can assert with confidence that the distinctive peppery note of Poivrol is almost entirely absent from Mahagonate.
