As with all pyrazines this is used in tiny traces – Popcorn Pyrazine at 0.1% in TEC has a powerful, distinctively popcorn note with chocolate and nutty aspects as well.
Even at this dilution this is a very powerful and diffusive material, that is present in the natural aroma of popcorn, bread crust. Often used in the flavouring industry, alongside nutty pyrazine, to enhance the scent of popcorn.
In fragrances it’s most commonly used as part of a chocolate or other sweet gourmand aroma, but can also be used to give a distinctive popcorn element at slightly higher doses, or to add a richness in very tiny traces.
