Description and usage notes:
This strongly fruity, fresh ester is very useful in providing natural top-note support to lavender accords as well as the more obvious application in fruity notes such as apple, bergamot, peach, mango and banana. It is less harsh and longer lasting than Amyl Acetate.
Arctander tells us that “this material was made commercially available in 1966 at a time when Lavandin oil was scarce and expensive. Any material that could help improve an artificial Lavandin or Lavender was of immediate interest.
However, this material has found uses far beyond Lavandin, Lavender and Bergamot … If increased use result in volume production, one may justly assume that this material can be produced at a much more attractive price and thus come into entirely new fields of perfumery application.”
