Description and usage notes:
Excellent supplement to (and to some extent substitute for) clary sage oil and absolute, this material is also an extremely versatile fresh, floralising element in almost any perfume composition where something more original than DHM is needed; or to replace linalool where a ‘clean label’ is required.
Firmenich describe it like this: “Odor: White floral, clary sage note between Linalol and Linalylacetate, very natural. Use: A white floral, clary sage, non-allergen muguet note. Can be used like Linalol, Dihydromyrcenol, Coranol from low dosages to very high dosages.”

Definitely on my top list of lifters and fresh molecules… In the path of ethyl-linalyl acetate, Ethyl-linalool… Similar in terms of brightness and character. Milder perhaps, but still more interesting to me than any of the linalool family. That kind of note that you look for, to bring light and freshness but avoiding a citrus and rosewood notes. As what Hedione/HC/Splendione does but less floral. A really cool molecule.
