Description and usage notes:
A floral heart to base note material of great versatility and strength, this is a superior form of methyl jasmonate.
Effective in traces it can also be used in much higher proportions, mainly in fine fragrances, though it’s application is limited only by cost.
According to Arcadi Boix Camps this is one of the most beautiful of all fragrance ingredients and contains the highest proportion of the important epi isomer of all those on the market (higher than the otherwise very similar Zeppin for example).
Firmenich describe it like this: “Odor reminiscent of the floral heart of jasmin. Petal soft and unctuous. Very elegant and natural. SPLENDIONE® gives rich long lasting, substantive floral effects in all perfumes at very low dosages. It works particularly well in white florals like jasmine and lily of the valley. It can enhance aldehydic florals and chypre fragrances”
It’s very substantive lasting up to a week on a strip.
