Description and usage notes:
One of the extremely powerful ingredients, best thought of in the same way as the pyrazines only more so: this is an exceptionally powerful material with great diffusion that should not be underestimated even if you’re used to dealing with pyrazines.
Discovered in 1971 and first identified in Buchu Oil in 1974 this material is the key odour character of that oil and of blackcurrants.
Tiny traces can be used to add realism to fruity accords especially blackcurrant, peach and tropical fruits, and is considered essential for the fuzzy peach-skin quality along with Tropical Thiazole.
Must be used with caution or it can easily ruin a blend. In pure form this material is quite toxic: at the 0.1% dilution offered here it is safe to handle, but still very smelly: a spill is definitely to be avoided!
