Description and usage notes:
Original IFF manufactured material, quite an intense violet-leaf-like material with a nice floral quality and freshness. This perfumer doesn’t find it particularly reminiscent of banana, but the tagette note mentioned by others is distinctly detectable. This material was kept as a captive by IFF for many years before being released onto the market.
IFF describe it as: “Odor: Floral, violet leaf, green, tagette with fruity banana notes”
Arcadi Boix Camps says that “The material is good with floral-woody and woody chemicals and blends well with metallic, fruity-pineapple-like and Galbanum products such as Dynascone (Firmenich), Neobutenone, Spirogalbanone (Givaudan), Pharaone (Givaudan) and Galbaniff, among others. I also like the effects of Violiff with Sulfox or the minty-bucchu note imparted by 8-menthatiol acetate.” He goes on to add that it blends well with Prismantol and that both those materials blend well with ginger notes.
