Description and usage notes:
This is a specialist base by Firmenich that is designed to allow perfumers to incorporate the unique scent of the oil of Citrus junos without the huge expense and supply difficulties associated with the natural oil.
It has the characteristic fresh quality of the fruit with an odour somewhat like a cross between mandarin and grapefruit but slightly greener and more aldehydic than either.
Commonly used in combination with inexpensive natural lemon and orange oils to enhance the natural quality of yuzu fruit, it can also provide a much needed tartness in other kinds of fruity accord.
If you’re complying with the IFRA standards, you’ll need to know that the maximum amount of this base that may be used in the finished alcoholic fragrance is 38.81%, when used alone, and that it contains the following materials subject to restrictions under those standards:

I was intrigued how this would smell prior to purchase but, after receipt and first sniff – I was blown away just how grapefuity this stuff actually is! WOW!! It literally smells of that fresh-smelling ‘just opened’ grapefruit with the strong zest of the peel on my fingers. I haven’t used my Yuzu yet but I can already tell how much this will open up and transform an accord/fragrance that requires that fresh citrus blast!!
